Un Blodymary

One Bloody Mary

Un Blodymary, por favor One Bloody Mary, please

Juro por Dior que no quise, pero está pegao I swear to Dior that I didn't want to, but he's stuck on me
Todo fue limpio y certero Everything was clean and certain
Yo era la otra, la tonta, será pringao I was the other woman, the fool, he's a bastard
Chulito de medio pelo A mediocre showoff

Maravillosa me puse, lo he dejado tirao I made myself marvellous, I dumped him
Chico martini perverso Wicked martini boy
Mucha palabra de lava tiene el desgraciao The unfortunate boy has a lot of fiery words
Pero éste a mí no me engaña But this one's not going to deceive me

Puedo ser de barrio bajo underground I may be from an underground slum
Pero mi corazón se te ha declarao But my heart has declared to you
Duty free, duty free, duty free Duty free, duty free, duty free
Un Blodymary, por favor One Bloody Mary, please

Paso bailando las horas I spend the hours dancing
Y él, desesperao en la barra, toma que toma And he, desperate in the bar, drinking and drinking
Me echa miradas que matan, lo tengo picao His look at me is a killer, I have him worked up
Por dentro muere y yo loca He's dying inside himself and I'm crazy

Puedo ser de barrio bajo underground I may be from an underground slum
Pero mi corazón se te ha declarao But my heart has declared to you
Duty free, duty free, duty free Duty free, duty free, duty free
Un Blodymary, por favor One Bloody Mary, please

Hubiera o hubiese habido un buen vacilón There could have been a good tease
Pintaba pluscuamperfecto It looked pluperfect
Pero tu tiempo, mira, se terminó But see, your time is over
La noche empieza de nuevo The night starts again

La luna cambió de rumbo, y me vi dando tumbos The moon changed direction, and I saw myself staggering
Buscando el ambiente frenéticamente Frantically looking for ambiance
Y mira, ¿qué punto que tiene el asunto? And see, what's the point of this?
De nuevo tú y yo, frente a frente Again you and me, face to face

Puedo ser de barrio bajo underground I may be from an underground slum
Pero mi corazón se te ha declarao But my heart has declared to you
Duty free, duty free, duty free Duty free, duty free, duty free
Un Blodymary, por favor One Bloody Mary, please

Hubiera o hubiese habido un buen vacilón There could have been a good tease
Pintaba pluscuamperfecto It looked pluperfect
Pero tu tiempo, mira, se terminó But see, your time is over
La noche empieza de nuevo The night starts again

Hubiera o hubiese habido un buen vacilón There could have been a good tease
Pintaba pluscuamperfecto It looked pluperfect
Pero tu tiempo, mira, se terminó But see, your time is over
La noche empieza de nuevo The night starts again

Translation by Daniel Moro Díaz, David Ruiz.

'Juro por Dior' is not a mistake, although the expression 'Juro por Dios' ('I swear to God') is indeed more common. Some words are in Andalusian, most notably the ending -ado in standard Spanish is replaced by -ao, for example pegao (pegado) and pringao (pringado).
  • Dior (1905–1957) - French fashion designer.
  • Martini - cocktail traditionally made with gin and dry white vermouth, though in recent years substituting vodka for gin has become more popular than the original recipe.
  • Bloody Mary - a cocktail containing vodka, tomato juice, and usually other spices.
  • Pluperfect - tense used to refer to an event that has completed before another past action, in English often called the past perfect. It comes from Latin: plus quam perfectum = more than perfect.
